Masoumeh Zolfaghari
Born in 1978 into a nomadic family, Masoumeh Zolfaghari began weaving kilims at a young age alongside her mother. After mastering the craft, Zolfaghari co-founded a family-run kilim-weaving cooperative in 2006, where Zolfaghari took on the manager role. In 2012, Zolfaghari received the UNESCO Seal of Excellence for one of the kilim designs. Zolfaghari also holds a master’s degree in psychology from the Islamic Azad University of Bojnord. Zolfaghari joined the project in 2022 and has been an active collaborator ever since.
